Silver Splinter features an operculum bone restored with a technique inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing cracks with precious metals to honour imperfection. Each fracture has been hand-filled with silver pigment and resin, stabilizing the bone while celebrating its unique markings.
The animal spirit embedded in the bone encourages the wearer to embrace their own resilience and wholeness, acknowledging that even fractured parts hold strength and wisdom.
Handmade in Canada using ethically sourced, found, and foraged materials. Please note though all findings are clean; natural staining remains, marking their time in the elements. One-of-a-kind; handle gently to preserve its natural integrity.
